A great Massachusetts bed and breakfast inn is a captivating combination of wonderful guests, a gracious staff, magical surroundings, delicious foods, and luxurious rooms. Set back from the road on twelve secluded acres just one mile from downtown Stockbridge and close to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge and Tanglewood as well as all the other cultural attractions Stockbridge, Lenox and the Berkshires is famous for. The Inn is a Georgian-style mansion with large white pillars built as a private residence in 1906 and lovingly restored in 1982 as a bed and breakfast.
In June 1997, Alice and Len built four new junior suites in a romantic cottage house on the spacious grounds behind the mansion.
The architecture of the mansion was duplicated in the cottage house with its four white columns and grand porch, however, the magic lies inside these theme rooms. St. Andrews, Kashmir, Provence, and Out of Africa have gas fireplaces, king-size canopy beds with pillow top mattresses, cathedral ceilings, TV-VCR combinations, and many wonderful romantic Inn room amenities. In addition, Kashmir and St. Andrews each feature 6-foot whirlpool bathtubs with separate showers. |
