You may have already know that Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort is a mecca for visiting skiers. Were you also aware that the resort is also open during the summer, and with all manner of fun activities? It’s true! Best of all, the popular mountain resort is just a little over a half hour’s drive from our Berkshires bed and breakfast, The Inn at Stockbridge.

Fun in the Sun at Fun at Jiminy Peak

Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort is located at 37 Corey Road in Hancock, MA. Simply head North from the inn on US-7 to Brodie Mountain Road in Lanesborough, MA. Take a left on Brodie Mountain Road and follow it to the resort.

Summer sees the opening of Jiminy Peak’s Mountain Adventure Park, Aerial Adventure Park, and Lift-Served Mountain Biking.

Mountain Adventure Park is the biggest attraction, offering a host of exciting activities. There’s a Mountain Coaster, an Alpine Super Slide, Soaring Eagle Zipride, a Giant Swing, Rock Climbing Wall, Euro Bungy Trampoline, and Scenic Chairlift Rides.

Jiminy Peak Lift Served Mountain Biking

The Aerial Adventure Park offers a challenging, self-guided, forest ropes course. There are 6 individual courses, including a zipline course, for climbers of different ability.

The Lift-Served Mountain Biking is very popular with off-road cyclists. The trail is a network of single track and downhill cruisers. Full suspension bikes, body armor, and experienced riders are recommended. You’ll also need to bring your own bike.

Jiminy Peak also offers a variety of scenic Hiking and Walking Trails. The trails run the gamut of difficulty, from strenuous to easy, and trail maps are available at the Welcome Center.
