Visit Hancock Shaker Village & Meet the Baby Animals!
Step into history and experience the charm of Hancock Shaker Village, where heritage meets hands-on fun! This beautifully preserved 18th-century Shaker village offers a glimpse into the past with its historic buildings, peaceful landscapes, and interactive exhibits. This spring, don’t miss the Baby Animals Festival, a beloved annual tradition where you can meet newborn lambs, piglets, calves, chicks, and kids (as in goats!). Running from April 12th through May 4th, 2025, this festival is the perfect way to welcome the season with educational talks about the farm and the Shakers, craft demonstrations, trail walks, and plenty of adorable animal encounters. Hancock Shaker Village recommends arriving between 11am and 3pm to allow enough time for your visit. General admission is $20 for adults, $8 for youths aged 13-17, and free for children 12 and under.

- Naumkeag Daffodil & Tulip Festival: Celebrate spring in full bloom at Naumkeag’s Daffodil & Tulip Festival in Stockbridge! From April 18 to May 11 (Thursday through Sunday), wander through thousands of vibrant daffodils and tulips set against the stunning backdrop of this historic Gilded Age estate. - Bartholomew’s Cobble: This 329-acre National Natural Landmark in Ashley Falls boasts North America’s greatest diversity of ferns and over 800 plant species. Spring is an ideal time to explore its five miles of trails, which wind through open fields, forests, and along the Housatonic River.
